Teens for Jeans

According to the Aeropostale website,
1 in 3 homeless people in the USA are under the age of 18.

With this in mind, the Ferndale Area School District has decided to participate in the 2012 Teens for Jeans campaign sponsored by Aeropostale. The event runs from January 16, 2012 through February 12, 2012. In the four years that this campaign has taken place, over 1.5 million jeans have been collected and donated to those children in need. In order to encourage donations, Aeropostale is offering some great incentives. The winning school district will win $5000.00, a new pair of Aeropostale jeans for each student, and a party for the entire school district. Additional prizes can be found on the Aeropostale website. The students at Ferndale Area have always been eager to support a worthy cause, so here is your chance to once again rise to the challenge. We are asking anyone and everyone to help us with this cause.  All jeans (in relatively good shape), regardless of brand name, size, color and type will be collected before school.  Students in the high school can place their jeans in the auditorium.  In the Elementary, students are asked to take their donation to Mrs. Mino’s classroom.  Please contact Mr. Boyle or Samantha Boyle, at the High School with any questions that you might have.

Thank you for your help!!!!
