Letter from FASD School Social Worker

Hello Everyone!

I hope everyone reading this is in good spirits and doing well as we adjust to the new “normal”. I
just wanted to make sure everyone knows that school social work services will continue to run
online as much as possible for as long as the closure ensues. This is very new for us as well, but I
will continue to deliver information, resources, and therapy for those who feel like they could
benefit from it.

There is no doubt that all of this change and uncertainty can bring a flood of not-so-great
emotions right now, and for many might be showing up for the first time. I am available for
teletherapy for students, or even just as someone to “check in” with. I can also help if you are
experiencing financial hardships or have questions about seeking assistance. Even if your student
has not seen me in the past, all you have to do is contact me and we can arrange for it very easily!
My digital office hours (via Zoom) are as follows:

Monday: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Tuesday: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Thursday: 12:00pm - 2:00pm
Friday: 10:00am - 2:00pm

I can be available after 2:00pm as well per request. I can also be reached during non-office hours via
email, phone, and text message at the email address and numbers listed at the top of this letter.
I also strongly encourage you to visit my staff webpage. I have my brochure and other links to great
resources and will be providing a majority of my updates through there.
Please do not hesitate to contact me. All conversations and requests are confidential and 100%
judgement free. I love getting emails, texts, and Zooms! We are all in this together, and I have no
doubt that we will come out of this stronger, better, and kinder than before.

Sincerely,

Marianna Golias, LSW
