Right to Know
The Open Records Law, effective January 1, 2009, allows increased access to public records. Information can be requested from the Ferndale Area School District by mail, fax, e-mail or in person. The District has five business days to respond. If the District doesn’t respond or denies your request, an appeal can be filed with the Office of Open Records. Copying fees, up to 25 cents per page, may be charged. The Ferndale Area School District has appointed Mr. David Gates, Business Manager, as their Right-to-Know Officer, given the responsibility of answering information requests from the public.
