Extra-Curricular Activities
It is a privilege to participate in extra-curricular activities, such as, but not limited to, inter-scholastic sports, the school band, cheerleading, chorus, forensics, intramurals, school clubs, drama performances, etc.
Since student participation in those activities represents the school, students are expected to follow school rules.
Suspensions and detentions prevent students from participating in practices/competitions those days. Unacceptable student behavior may result in students being removed from the team/squad/club.

Ferndale Area Yellow Jacket and Conemaugh Valley Blue Jay cheerleaders show their school spirit at a LivRed Foundation Basketball game, between the varsity boy's basketball teams from each school, held at Conemaugh Valley on Friday, January 31, 2020.
The LivRed Foundation was created in memory of the late Olivia Red of Johnstown, PA. Olivia was killed in a car accident in 2018 and the mission of the LivRed Foundation is to continue Olivia's well-known kindness by helping others and the profits from the various LivRed games assist them in achieving that goal.
