Board of Education
Ferndale Area School Board
Ferndale Area School District, in accordance with Pennsylvania law, maintains a publicly elected governing board. The Board is the policy-making body responsible for the governing of the district within the limits of State and Federal law. It also carries out the will of the citizens in the matters of public education and policy by holding public meetings once a month in accordance with local and state laws.
The Ferndale Area School District Board commits to clearly defining the policies, roles, and expectations of the district. This is done by keeping lines of communication open between the Board and the students, parents, district employees, and community it serves. This is accomplished while respecting the designated channels of authority outlined in its governing policies. The FASD Board of Education openly acknowledges and promotes the constructive contributions and participation of all regardless of their point of view or position.
